It’s officially Shem week at Acclaim!

Earlier this week we celebrated his promotion to Finance Manager; now we’ve gone one step further. We followed Shem around for a whole week to see what life really looks like, both at Acclaim and outside of work.

From 4am walks with his son Conan to game nights, DIY projects, and a healthy dose of friendly chaos, here’s a glimpse into a week in the life of Shem.

Before work, Shem’s already miles ahead of the day, quite literally. A massive morning person, he’s up at 4am for walks with Conan ( his son) before most alarms even ring.

During the day, he’s in his element reviewing financial reports, tackling complex queries, and shaping plans for the team’s future. He loves getting client requests across the finish line and learning something new from his team every single day.

He’s also diving deep into the world of AI in finance, constantly watching webinars, testing ideas, and exploring how tech can transform the way finance works.

After hours, it’s all about balance; playtime with baby Conan, dinners with friends, and a bit of harmless mischief aimed at making his wife laugh (or roll her eyes).

Weekends are full-on in the best way: games nights with friends, family walks through plantations, hikes across Barrule, DIY projects, binge-worthy series, and baby playdates.
